I myself tried several times to delete those by whacking them with my axe and my whole roof would cave in. You are actually just supposed to look at the middle beams and hold c (if on PC).Want to build shelves and stuff but pillars are in the way. After you build the roof, you can remove the pillars if they're no longer load-bearing. I believe you can do up to a 3x3 with no supporting pillars in the middle. you can do a 5x5 if you use bracing logs on the edges. As of now you can only build stairs if there are two 45° logs. You can have a wall there but only after you made the stairs. You can only make 45° logs if there is a pillar only on one side. So in your case you'd have to remove the 5 "wall"-logs and the pillar closest to you, then place a 45° log and make the stairs.To make or craft a door or gate in Sons of the Forest, you first need to stack seven logs on top of each other horizontally.
