Our intake manifold was spread bore, and we could not find a 600 cfm carb in that configuration. We ended up finding a square-bore intake manifold and cleaned it up and installed it. Since we now had a square bore manifold, we chose the edelbrock 1406 carb (600 cfm) to finish it off. Set your accelerator pump back to the stock middle position. Set your mixture screws to 2 turns out (this is a good starting point) Start the car and adjust the idle stop until you get it to idle between 800-900 RPM.
